Caryophyllaeides ergensi sp. n. (Cestoda: Caryophyllidea) from Leuciscus Leuciscus baicalensis from Mongolia.

T Scholz

The tapeworm Caryophyllaeides ergensi sp. n. (Cestoda: Caryophyllidea) is described from Leuciscus leuciscus baicalensis from the River Selenga basin in Mongolia. It differs from the only hitherto recognized species of the genus C. fennica (Schneider, 1902), mainly in its extremely long uterus with coils extending anteriorly to anterior half, sometimes up to anterior third of the body of gravid specimens.
